Studio uA3. is a full service architectural firm specializing in residential, commercial and interior architecture.

John Kucera, the principal of Studio uA3., has been designing homes, buildings and interiors for over thirty years. He received a Bachelor Degree from Ryerson Polytechnical University and a Master of Architecture Degree with Honors and Silver Medal for Academic Achievement from Rhode Island School of Design. At the outset of his design career, John worked free-lance for numerous architects and interior design firms. In 1985 he founded John Kucera & Associates, executing many retail, restaurant, corporate office, law office and hotel interiors as well as numerous custom home architectural projects, often in association with prominent design firms and architects in the Toronto area and in New York.

In 1987 he relocated to the United States where he worked for DiLeonardo International, Frank Nicholson, Inc., and Shepley Bulfinch Richardson and Abbott, Architects, gaining tremendous design and technical experience while working on significant retail, restaurant, hotel and academic clientele commissions. As a licensed architect he founded Studio uA3. in January 2007 , a firm with a focus in residential and commercial architecture and interiors with emphasis on sustainability in the built environment.
