Set up in 1985, Griffin Architects has grown into a multi-disciplinary design company providing interiors and architectural design solutions to a range of corporate, financial, religious, retail, medical and institutional customers. Griffin Architects is situated in Durham, North Carolina delivering services on a local level, as well as to many customers throughout the Southeast.

At North Carolina's Gurlitz Architectural, we see our purpose as going beyond. Going beyond the status quo, beyond customary expectations. We aim to reply to the underlying requirements of the project, to work within its constraints, and then take those constraints and stretch them as far as they can probably go.

The Freelon Group is a sixty member architectural company situated in Durham, North Carolina. Founded in 1990 by Philip G. Freelon, FAIA, the company offers specialized design expertise in the areas of Museum/Cultural Center, Higher Education and Science/Technology facilities.

The two-story building houses history classes and two computer labs, providing a fresh start for the students and teachers who previously held classes in the aging Carr Building, which dates back to 1911. The new 31,000-square foot building features classrooms over 850 square feet in size - twice the size of the old Carr Building classrooms - and provides a two-story atrium adjacent to the auditorium.

Established in 1978, the company supplies a complete array of in-house services including Master Planning, Architectural Design, Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Administration and Renderings. Our team of 25 includes 3 Architects and 4 Engineers that have a broad array of knowledge in creating buildings for food service, offices, health care, retail, institutional, and domestic uses.

Services: I offer sustainable design for commercial space plans, building condition surveys, retail upfit plans, addition, renovation and upfits for office, and change of use evaluation and cost estimates. I supply floor plans for realtors to use in their marketing efforts. I can supply LEED evaluations.
